New Improvisation

Immediately after watching the series finale of Breaking Bad (a show that its watchers know can evoke tons of intense emotions) I decided to record a brief improvisation. No preconceived form, 1 take over 1 loop, both improvised. It’s amazing how simple emotions, even based on fictional events, can greatly influence improv and how music can so easily reflect those emotions when released without judgment.

All we need to do is ignore any subconscious judgement or worry about quality in order to play honestly and channel your true spirit into every performance.  I may sound like I’m off the deep end, but check out a book titled Effortless Mastery by Kenny Werner and you’ll be hooked!

Hope you dig the recording!

For my fellow gear heads out there, the sounds on this recording are from a Les Paul into a Walrus Audio Voyager, Strymon Timeline and Fender Blues Jr. Humboldt Hot Rod…
